Alexa is actually inspired by my husband’s name, Alex, combined with our last name initial — AlexA. It’s a name rooted in family, love, and the very reason I do what I do.
Behind the scenes, you’ll often find Alex right by my side. He’s my partner in all those magical mini sessions throughout the year — from setting up props to making sure everything runs smoothly. He’s my best friend, my biggest supporter, and an essential part of this journey.
I’m also a proud mama to three little cuties — Maya, Erik, and Sara. You may spot them starring in my images from time to time, and they are always behind the scenes, helping me create and test the perfect sets for your session. Being a mother has shaped my approach to photography — with patience, warmth, and a deep understanding of how fleeting these moments truly are.
As a Toronto Newborn Photographer, my heart is in capturing those tiny details, quiet connections, and emotional moments that tell your family’s story — beautifully, gently, and authentically.

My background story
m a Toronto Newborn Photographer and a proud NICU mom, with a deep, personal understanding of just how precious and fragile the earliest days of life can be. Through years of hands-on experience, professional newborn safety education, and baby/newborn physiotherapy training learned from leading experts, I have built my work around gentleness, patience, and trust.
My journey into newborn photography was shaped not only by my love for babies and art, but also by motherhood itself. Caring for my oldest daughter, who was born with a rare genetic disorder, taught me to see each baby as beautifully unique. It gave me the confidence and sensitivity to work calmly and safely with newborns and children with special needs — always following the baby’s lead.
Memories by Alexa Photography was born from this love — a place where your family’s earliest moments are captured with intention, care, and heart. As a Toronto Newborn Photographer, my goal is to preserve the tiny details, quiet connections, and emotional bonds that pass far too quickly.

Originally from Romania, my husband and I came to Canada in 2010! Our parents, brothers and sisters, and grandparents are still there, and needles to say we miss them dearly!
What a beautiful gift, to be able to share with them the pictures I take of our kids, and the annual Christmas Card they receive in the mail from our Toronto Christmas Mini Sessions - the smile on their face when they call us through WhatsApp to let us know they received it, is EVERYTHING.

I mean, who doesn't love travelling?
I love exploring, hiking, visiting and learning about new things!
My dream vacation / bucket list - is Hawaii - the landscape, flowers (I LOVE Macro photography), a dream for beautiful pictures!
With 3 kids, I highly doubt I will be taking anything more than phone pictures during our trip, but WHEN we will go there, I for sure will hire a photographer to ensure we document that time in our lives with beautiful portraits!
Until then, Camping in Ontario is the best!

She has the magic touch, as our baby let her swaddle him and change his outfit, without complaining, although he hates swaddling and changing his clothes in general. The photos turned out great.
